Incredible depth and detail that opened up the Mass Readings for me.
Please please put it on a DVD..
Great introduction to the catechism. Left me wanting more. We need a explanation on every paragraph.

Everyone knows the Israelites in the Old Testament were supposed to follow the Law (Hebrew torah) of God given by Moses as their way of salvation. But what were the Gentiles supposed to do? Just suffer? Surprisingly, the Old Testament has an entire collection of teaching (Heb. torah, also) for Gentiles as well as Israelites: it's called the Wisdom Literature.
These books teach God's way to live for anyone, living anywhere: Switzerland, Sweden, Swaziland or Svalbard. With his unique blend of passion and playfulness, Dr. Bergsma teaches his way through Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Job, Wisdom and Sirach, showing why these books are as meaningful as ever for Catholics today.
Up to Bergsmas usual high standard.
This an excellent overview of the Books of Solomon. However, I take exception to his translation of a couple of Greek words.
This course explains well the ancient, Hebraic context of the literature related to Wisdom and its theology.
This is a great study! It seems to be a half-semester worth of lectures at Franciscan, so it's heavy duty but that's what is GREAT about it! The first half is the study of the Sacrifice of Praise and the second (after midterm) is Wisdom for the Whole World. GET BOTH, offered here at Catholic Productions. It's worth the time investment.
