From biblical scholar John Bergsma -- two-time teacher of the year at the Franciscan University of Steubenville -- comes this fresh, fun, and authentically Catholic introduction to the "big picture" of salvation history.
This overview of the Bible is based on Bergsma's wildly popular introduction to theology course (Old Testament and New Testament) at Franciscan University, where he is a colleague of Scott Hahn. Bergsma combines sound theology, academic expertise, pastoral wisdom, and an endearing playfulness to draw readers into the connection between the great stories of the Bible and salvation in Jesus. Central to the book's themes are Bergsma's signature illustrations of key biblical characters, which are deceptively simple but profound.

Very good service. Like that it was autographed and i am really enjoying reading the book. Pictures add to the easy understanding of the book.
I've just started reading this book and already have learned a lot. The simple drawings are an incredible plus to understanding the written parts. I'm a senior adult - "cradle Catholic" and surely wish I'd had this book when I was growing up.
Dr. Bergsma has taken intellectual events in salvation history and presented them for all to understand. He has a down to earth style that is inspiring. A truly great read.
Dr. Bergsma uses his artistic talent to make key themes in the bible clear and memorable. This is a great place to start if you're just beginning to learn about the big picture of salvation. Fun read!
Had Bergsma as a teacher, and now use his mountains of the covenant in my classes. I was excited to see his book, it is easy to read, understand, and use as a supplement to my classes. I highly recommend this book for anyone who teaches about creation, the Old Testament, Jesus as the New Covenant, and the 10th grade on Jesus and the Paschal Mystery in the new Bishops Guidelines for High School Curriculum.
