We have listened to the last two weeks of the mass readings explained prior to attending mass and they have opened up a new world for my husband and I. Brant’s explanation of the readings helped us to get so much more out of mass. It has also helped to understand my daily reading of the Bible. I am so thankful to have this information in my daily walk with God through the scripture and the mass!
Wonderful! We are currently enrolled at our parish in Dr. Petri’s Lectio Eucharist class, and we’re excited to learn even more from his book!
It was a fascinating topic and Dr. Pitre gave it his best. I really enjoyed it a lot.
My only problem that I think it lacks 2 things:
1. The connection which should be made between Mark 13.24-27 and the rise of belief in the Parousia of Our Lord. Where did it come from if it was only about the destruction of The Temple? Especially the many parallels between Mark 13 from one side & 1 Thess. 4-5 & 2 Thess. 2 from the other.
2. Dr. Pitre didn't give his comments on the important passage of 2 Thess. 2 when it said that the anti-christ will set in "The Temple of The God". What was "The Temple" referring to?
Overall that was a great commentary on one of the hardest topics in the Bible and Dr. Pitre is a really great scholar.

Hi Judy! This is access by logging in to your account and going to 'Mass Readings Explained' in the main menu bar of our website, then 'Watch Videos' and then pick one of the options there. The calendar view works well for finding those that are in the near future.
Truly was amazed by the study. Love all the lectures. Do you have Bible study with questions. Want to do our own digging then finish up with talk or lecture.
