It was confusing signing up. I am not sure I even did it right. I have a sick wife and have not been able to check into it. We did watch the mass reading explained 2 weeks ago.
Hello! Your subscription is active and setup with access. Once logged in, you can access everything by going to 'Mass Readings Explained' in the main menu bar of our website, then 'Watch Videos' and then pick one of the options there. The calendar view works well for finding those Mass Readings that are in the near future and The Mass Explained will take you to videos in that series.
If I can help in any way, please let me know.
I am loving this series of in-depth explanations by the wonderful Dr Pitre. Each week, several days before the weekend, the link for the explanation of the readings for the impending Sunday Mass arrive in my email Inbox. Dr Pitre is a gift to the Church! I have a degree in theology from the 1980s, and have kept up my theological and Scriptural reading ever since. Brant Pitre's knowledge, and his good humour, just blow me away! Can't recommend highly enough how worthwhile having this resource is. Laity and clergy alike will gain great insights for their spiritual life, and connecting life itself to the Mass.
During the month of May, our parish held a learning event where we showed the video presentation of Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary. Dr. Pitre does an awesome job of explaining how Mary is honored in her roles as "The New Eve", "The New Ark of the Covenant", and "The Queen Mother" in both the video presentation and in his book with the same title. I especially like the book because, Dr. Pitre has additional content in it, such as the "Perpetual Virginity of Mary".
My order was filled in hours. I was able to start streaming the episodes immediately.
The Dr. Brant Pitre videos are so enlightening, engaging, accessible, and importantly, relevant. I look forward to listening to them every day when I go on my nightly walk (unintended consequence of listening to Dr. Pitre videos: they get you in shape!) I feel better equipped to defend the faith, not only to those outside of the Church but also to fellow Catholics who hold beliefs and opinions contrary to Church teachings. Instead of saying "because the Church says so" I can now articulate, more intelligently, WHY we do what we do, WHY we say what we say, WHY we believe what we believe, and so forth. Terrific content - 5 out of 5!
