  • 1 hour (1 CD / 1 DVD / MP3)

Are marriage and the priesthood “opposites” of each other? Are they two opposing and exclusive ways to serve God? Or, are they somehow profoundly linked to one another?

In this presentation given at the 2009 Word of God Conference, Dr. Bergsma, former Protestant pastor and now Professor of Theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, examines the passion story of the Gospel of John, showing the unexpected and surprising ways that John reveals Jesus as both priest and bridegroom at the Cross. Married couples and priests alike will benefit from this moving reflection on the way both sacraments—Matrimony and Holy Orders—participate in the self-sacrifice of the crucified Christ.

Theologically rich and beautiful!

This talk was not a great biblical resource, but a fountain of grace during the Triduum. It's an amazing theological talk, but also beautiful. Can't recommend enough!

The Dead Sea Scrolls for Catholics

Doctor Bergman's delivery of this topic is very good, and easy to listen to. I enjoy his insights and his sense of humor.

The delivery of the package left a lot to be desired...it took from April 16 to May 4th to get to us. In todays' next day delivery environment it leaves a lot to be desired. A warning on your website that delivery of a letter-sized package can take over two weeks to be delivered would lower expectations and increase customer satisfaction.

I am very sorry for the shipping delay. The post office in the New Orleans area has been struggling lately, which causes packages to sit in one place for a week before being moved along in the process. We have spoken to them regarding this and hope they can get it resolved soon

Great Information on the greatest male Saint

This was such a great series to purchase. Saint Joseph is my patron saint. I learned so much from this talk. One thing I learned is that Saint Joseph was not old as many pictures show him to be. What a refreshing series. Learning about Jesus more through Joseph. Saint Joseph also would have given Jesus his name. Powerful talks. Consider purchasing this series; it will help you grow more in your culture and faith.

The 4th Cup
