A great presentation by Brant Pitre! I knew the story of the Fall in the Garden of Eden and I knew the story of Jesus being tempted in the desert, but had never put these two together until this! Very enlightening and thought-provoking!
All I can say is wow! We don't seem to know a whole lot about St Joseph but this just blew that out of the water! A scholarly and enlightening presentation at the same quality that we've come to expect from Brant Pitre!
I wasn’t expecting this book’s bibliography to be so widely researched and reference. It is a more thorough read than I was expecting. I am so happy to see how other modern (and not so modern) authors’ books and research in parallel page by page. Wow.
This book has much more substance and is deeply researched. If you enjoy an easy read but with great facts about how historically Jesus as Divine (or not) has been written about, you will be very satisfied. Also, this is not quoting church fathers and saints, this is quoting non-Catholic authors. Super interesting to read their perspectives.
A fabulous study in Saint Joseph. Biblical foundations for his role as King, Spouse etc. presented as golden nuggets of truth. Faith building
It was great, Dr. Pitre is a vault of knowlege and so easy to understand! 3 hours of talk about St. Joseph have gone by like it was 10 minutes!
